Quality Genetics Don’t Happen by Accident
At Cyrus Ridge, every breeding decision is intentional. Our goal is simple: healthier animals, exceptional temperaments, beautiful highlands, and sustainable sizes.
Here’s how we do it:
-
Careful selection of proven genetics
-
Extensive Socialization from an early age
-
Daily Interaction with cows
-
Exposure to visitors, equipment and everyday farm activity.
-
DNA testing and registration for every calf to confirm sire and identify genetic traits
Because exceptional Highlands aren’t created by chance — they’re created through thoughtful breeding and daily care.
How we Measure Height
We measure all our cattle at the top of their back, in line with the hook. Measuring to the hook lowers height by about 2-4”.
The sires listed here are the fathers of calves born on our farm.
